One of my male friends is planning to propose to his old time girlfriend. They have been together for five years and he really thinks that she’s the one. He called me a couple of weeks ago, but I didn’t have the chance to talk to him because I was busy. Last night, I called him back and we talked about a lot of different things. What a nice day today. We were out the whole afternoon and had fun playing in the park. Rachel had so much fun because there was a lot of kids at the playground. We got there just around dinner time and got so hungry that we decided to eat at the Pei Wei Asian restaurant.

My hubby will be starting a new job soon. He will be doing outside sales and will need to buy a new car because of all the driving he will be doing for his new employer. Most of his driving will be around the Denver area making sales calls. But, he will also have to travel to other parts of Colorado and north to Wyoming. The car we have now has over 150,000 miles and is not reliable enough to drive on roads trips out of town. It will be great to have a new car that looks better than our old one and looks better for my hubby’s work. Also, we will be able to take a trip anywhere and won’t have to worry about renting a car. He wants to get an attractive car, but he wants to make sure we can afford it too. There are many factors to consider when buying a car such as the cost, gas mileage, maintenance and resell value. We have been working on how much we can spend on a car since he doesn’t know exactly how much he will be making. Since he is in sales, some of his income comes from commissions. This will vary month to month, but I think he has an amount he will make each month at minimum. We use a tool called the auto loan calculator at sunrisefinance.com to see how much our payments will be for specific costs and terms. This made it easier to figure out which cars we can afford and which ones would be too expensive for us. So, we started shopping online and at cars lots around town for a car he can use for his new job. Of course, he wants something a little more sports than I want. But, he will be using it for business and would like a car that looks good and is fun to drive.

We went out to eat at Chili’s for our lunch earlier today. We were hungry after we visited Bumpa at his rehab. I wasn’t planning to eat in the restaurant because we had some leftovers from last night. I made a lot of spaghetti with meatballs and it was good.

I am trying to get in touch with the teenage boy we hired to take care of our dogs while we are out of town for the weekend. I forgot to tell him about our Wireless home security, and how to turn it off and on. I really hope he doesn’t accidently set off the alarm. I’ve got his cell phone, but I’m sure he left it at home while he went to school today. I’m not sure if he was planning on going straight to our house to let the dogs out after school, or if he was going to go home first and get his phone. I really hope he sees my call and listens to my message before he goes over to my house to let the dogs out. Otherwise, I’m sure the alarm will go off and he won’t know what to do about it. I should have mentioned it to him before we left, but it totally slipped my mind in all the hustle and bustle of trying to go out of town.

I started dating Tom a few weeks ago, and things are going well. It’s nice to finally meet someone I feel like I connect with after being single for so long. I was married once before, and after the divorce I needed some time to myself. I knew it was healthy to take some time, but I think I may have stayed out of the game for a little too long. I didn’t date for four years, and when I started dating again I didn’t know how to behave at all. Tom was married before so he understands where I’m coming from, which is comforting. We met when he came out to my house to connect my hughes net satellite internet service. I know it’s not a traditional way to meet someone, but we knew we liked each other right away. He was completely appropriate and told me he would love to take me out to dinner and get to know me better. We had a great time on that first date and have been seeing each other ever since.

I do not know what I did before my DVR. I guess I sort of remember a time when I missed a lot of shows and had to try to scan the guide to see when the rerun might be on, but that seems like a very distant memory. Now, I just set my DVR to record whatever I want it to and go on about my daily life. When I have time to sit down in front of the TV and devote time to watching a couple shows, I do. It couldn’t be easier to watch all the shows I love without being a slave to the TV Guide. I also love that it allows my husband and I to spend more time together. Back in the “olden days” we’d be forced to watch television in separate rooms, because it never failed that something we both wanted to watch was on different channels at the same time. That’s not a problem anymore! We just watch one show now and record the other to watch later. It’s so awesome! Check out direct tv fresno to see about getting a DVR if you don’t have one. I was visiting one of my close friends, Barb, over the weekend and she was showing me some items she bought recently. The clothes she bought for herself and her hubby were really nice. But, the most interesting thing she told me was where she bought them and how much she paid. I was really amazed and wanted to know how I could find great deals like what she did. As soon as Halloween is over, really, I start watching all kinds of Christmas movies nonstop. It's really easy with all of the Lifetime original movies and other similar things. My daughter and I really love watching these movies together. Now that she's in college, we don't get to watch them together until she's finished with her exams. So I like to save most of them for when she is going to be home.

I was online looking up some info on new movies about a week ago or so, when I came across the site http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com/hearing-locations/iowa/d/des-moines/. I've been having to turn up the TV volume so loud lately, that I thought going in for a hearing test would be worth a shot.

Our most favorite Christmas movie, though, is Elf Christmas movie, despite it not being a cheesy made for TV one. I just think that it's so cute and Buddy is such a na•ve guy that it makes everything that much funnier. I don't think that I'll ever really get sick of watching that movie or watching any Christmas movies with my daughter!
